The live-to-vinyl Onezero pairs Sawhney’s exceptional band with special guest vocalist Joss Stone. The retrospective compilation includes 17 of Sawhney’s back-catalogue tracks, and are as real and raw as it can get—no overdubbing, no auto-tuning, no edited tracks, just performed and recorded live, direct-to-disc, in front of an audience at the Metropolis Studios in London on April 13, 2013.  The album also features four brand new tracks including “I Ask For You,” featuring Joss Stone.

Sawhney’s select four-city tour takes off Wednesday, October 30 at the Bric House in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a stop at the UMass Fine Arts Center at Bowker Auditorium in Amherst on Friday, November 1.  The Sawhney tour then heads west with a stop in San Francisco at Nourse Auditorium November 2 and a final SoCal performance at The Echoplex in LA on Sunday, November 3.

Sawhney’s music combines western elements of electronica and jazz with rich eastern influences.  The composition and themes of his works cover a broad range of topics including politics, spirituality, religion, war, race relations, ethnicity and multiculturalism.

The bold, music-genre-defining Sawhney holds several honorary doctorates and multiple fellowships. He has collaborated with artists and celebrities as diverse as Sting, Jeff Beck, Shakira, Paul McCartney,  John Hurt and Nelson Mandela .
