Review by Kimberly Annette

The stage; the city streets. The actors upon the stage; electric guitarists with traveling amps strapped to their sides locked together in a solid synced procession. The performance; the music of Patrick Grant and selections from the Tilted Axes repertoire; each act an original composition. The mission; fill the urban landscape with rapturous riffs, melodic tones and encapsulate the public with the live movement of a roving street theater and defines the Tilted Axes.tany13-icon

The music of the roving street performances by the Tilted Axes is now as a full-length CD, Music For Mobile Guitars. Released on August 24th, Music For Mobile Guitars is the Tilted Axes first studio CD. The 17 instrumental tracks are works of guita
r mastery and compositional genius with electrifying hypnotic riffs and mesmerizing melodies.

The Tilted Axes are the 2011 brainchild of composer/performer, classically trained post-rocker, Patrick Grant. Originally created as part of Make Music Winter, a New York City musical parade that fills the streets in celebration of the Winter Solstice. Since the inception, the Tilted Axes have taken to not only the streets of New York but of Germany, Detroit, and Brazil.

You can check out the Tilted Axes: Music For Mobile Guitars roaming performance in the 2016 NYC Village Halloween Parade October 31st, from 7-10pm. Or if you can’t make the show the CD is available for purchased download at the links below.
