Used Man For Sale. If the title to the latest solo release from Phil Gammage isn’t enough to instill a curiosity to check it out, the music surely is. This is the eighth solo release from Gammage, an Americana Bluesman thriving in New York’s blues scene and across the globe.philgammage_credit_nikolitsa

Defined as “a stripped down version of the blues without gimmicks,” Used Man For Sale is a melodic mix of old school artistry that is simple, clean and pure Americana. The depth of Gammage’s experience, as a seasoned veteran of the blues, comes through in the modest simplicity of each of the ten tracks on the album.

“Arms of a Kind Woman” the first track and video released off the album, has a sophisticated savvy that invokes feelings of lonely comfort. Gammage has written a classic.

As a songwriter, singer, guitarist, and harmonica player Gammage has been putting out solo albums since the 1990’s. In 2014 he released Adventures in Bluesland to critical acclaim and birthed a five piece live band by the same name.

A favorite at the CBGB Music Festival in 2013 and 2014 Gammage is a polished live performer who performs solo, with his small combo The Phil Gammage Quartet, and with the larger Adventures in Bluesland.

The official release date for Used Man For Sale is October 4th, 2016, but is available now for purchase on CD Baby and is streaming on Soundcloud. For more information see the links below.
