When Volbeat formed in Copenhagen in 2000, they did so with the dreams and aspirations of any musician or band; to hit the big time and/or to make an impact. With the recent RIAA gold certification of 500,000 sales of “A Warrior’s Call” they’ve done just that. “A Warrior’s Call” is off Volbeat’s four studio album Beyond Hell Above Heaven on Universal Republic Records.

Monte Lipman the  C.E.O.and  Republic Co-Founder states,Volbeat RIAA

“Volbeat has fought hard to become one of the most important rock bands today.  Their drive, determination, and amazing talent, continues to inspire us every day.  We are thrilled with their success and congratulate them on this historic achievement.”

Currently on a U.S arena tour as co-headliners with Five Finger Death Punch, the boys are racking up the awards and the album sales. With a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance,” a German Echo Award for “Best International Alternative Act,” Volbeat has made an indelible mark on the rock landscape.  Their latest release Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies was certified platinum in their native Denmark as well as Germany and Austria. and gold in Finland.

A recent press release quoted the band’s singer and guitarist Michael Poulsen as saying,

“Jon, Anders, Rob and I are very proud of this acknowledgement.  The fact that each and every sale is a gesture made by the fans that fill the venues, buy our records and support rock music, this is truly meaningful.  Thank you to each and every one of you.  We share this moment with all of those that work on our behalf to support Volbeat globally, and with the fans who know Rock music is alive and well.”
